PerformanceVP  /  Offerings  /  The Diagnostic

A clear, quantified picture of how each team is performing, and why.

The Diagnostic is where every engagement starts. In six to eight weeks, we put real numbers behind performance, name what is holding each team back, and identify a short list of changes with real impact.

Most leaders can point to a team that is struggling. Few can say exactly why, or be sure that the obvious explanation is the real one. Our Diagnostic replaces that guesswork with evidence: a performance score for each team, the specific forces behind it, and the changes that would move it most.

What you get

A targeted diagnosis for each team, not one generic report for the whole organisation.

Different teams have different problems. The Diagnostic treats them that way. For every team in scope, you receive its own findings.

A performance score

A single, easy-to-read measure of the team's performance potential on a 0 to 100 scale, with a clear breakdown across the four forces so you can see what is strong and what is not.

The binding constraints

The handful of things most limiting this team, named plainly. This is the heart of the work: a precise answer to "what should we fix first here?"

The Decision Latency Score

How long decisions actually take in the team, by type, with the bottlenecks producing the delay. Often the most actionable single finding in the report.

Prioritised changes

Up to six recommended changes, ordered by likely return, each tied to a specific finding so you know why it is on the list and what it should improve.

Where the data came from

Every score notes its sources and how confident we are in it, so you know how much weight to place on a given finding.

A view across teams

For multi-team engagements, a comparison that shows where problems are shared and where they are specific, so that enterprise effort goes to the right place.

The deliverables

Written for the people who need to act on it.

Three deliverables, pitched to three audiences, from the team lead to the board.

  • Team-level diagnostic reportThe full picture for each team: scores, constraints, decision latency and prioritised changes, with the evidence behind each.
  • Board-ready executive summaryA short, organisation-level summary that a leadership team can read in minutes and act on with confidence.
  • A 90-minute executive briefingAn in-person workshop to walk your senior team through the findings, answer the hard questions, and agree where to focus.
