PerformanceVP  /  Offerings  /  Intervention Design

Turn findings into changes that make meaningful impact.

Intervention Design takes the priorities from our Diagnostic and puts together detailed, practical changes.

The Diagnostic tells you where the highest-return changes are. Intervention Design is where we work on one to three of them in detail with you: what the change is, who owns it, how it should sequence, and how you will know it has moved the thing it was meant to move.

What you get

A practical plan for each change

For each priority we take on, you receive a clear design to hand to whoever will deliver it.

A clear definition of the change

What is actually changing, for whom, and the specific constraint it is meant to relieve. Written plainly, so there is no ambiguity about what 'good' looks like.

Success criteria

The measures that tell you the change is working, agreed up front. This is what keeps a change honest, and what lets you stop or adjust if it is not landing.

Sequence and ownership

A sensible order of steps, who owns each, and the dependencies between them, so the plan survives contact with a busy organisation.

A way to measure the effect

How we will track whether the change moved the force it was aimed at, so the result is visible rather than assumed.

How it works

From a shortlist of priorities to a plan you can run

Step 01

Choose the priorities

Together we pick one to three changes from the Diagnostic that are worth designing in full. Usually the ones with the highest expected return and the clearest path to act.

Step 02

Design the change

We work up each intervention in detail with your people, so it fits how your organisation actually operates rather than an idealised version of it.

Step 03

Agree how you'll know

We set the success criteria and the way we will measure the effect, before anyone starts, so the goalposts are fixed and fair.

Step 04

Hand over to implement

You receive a clear design to deliver, whether your own team runs it or you bring in a partner. We design and measure; you implement.

Where we draw the line

We design and measure. Your teams implement. That keeps us independent about whether a change is working, and keeps ownership of the result where it belongs - with you.

The impact

The biggest gains come from the most precise changes.

We do not spread effort thinly across everything that could be improved. The Diagnostic shows, with evidence, exactly where performance is being held back, so Intervention Design can concentrate on the few changes that will move performance the most.

A specific, well-designed change aimed at a real constraint, with a clear measure of success, does far more for performance than a broad programme that touches everything and shifts little. We isolate what matters, design it properly, and show the effect.
